It started with a vision.

Ronald Van Sile dreamed of family coming together in business.  Elaine Van Sile dreamed of a bar where all are welcome to have a good time.  Together their dreams became one: A bar where you could watch the game and eat wings with your team or have a night out dancing and drinking cocktails with the girls. A bar where customers become friends and friends become family. A bar with a little something for everyone.

            Their journey began back in 1996 when, while living in upstate New York, they purchased a bar in Dover, Ohio.  With the help of their children, they opened The Gathering Place and The Cherry Room in Dover, Ohio, the next year.  Ten years later, business was booming.  After making a name for themselves and learning the trade and crafts of the bar and restaurant world, Ron and Elaine decided it was time to apply their knowledge further.  In 2006 they sold The Gathering Place and Cherry Room and put sole focus on The Broadway Brewhouse.  Their family, which had also been expanding, was ready for the challenge. 

            Ronald was able to see his family come together and create three successful restaurants under his watchful eye before his passing in 2012.  However, if you stop into The Broadway Brewhouse today, you might still be lucky enough to hear traces of his laugh in Eric’s, see his smile peek through on Brenda’s face, or feel his warmth in Kristy’s eyes.  On most days, you can catch a glimpse of Elaine, our Head Honcho, running things her way. 

            You see, The Broadway Brewhouse is best known as a favorite local sports bar.  With 20 TVs always on the game, and 21 rotating beers on tap, most know it is an ideal place to catch the game on a Sunday or grab a beer after work.  It’s even a great place to create a Saturday gameday tradition! However, with perfectly crafted cocktail menus and an extensive, award winning food menu to match, The Broadway Brewhouse is so much more than a sports bar.  We feature a loft and party room that can be reserved for events, rotating cocktail menus and daily specials, four full sized billiards tables, happy hours, craft and local beers, and award-winning customer service! We offer Keno and Ohio Lottery, portions of which is donated to local charities.  With live music and DJ events, themed parties throughout the year, and games always airing, there is always something going on. 

            So stop on in 365 days a year for an inclusive atmosphere, rotating brews on all 21 taps, cocktails, dancing to live music, and an all-around great time!
